The Cold War was a competition between the Soviet Union and the United State. The rivalry between these two superpower started long before World War II, but got intense after World War II. U.S. presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry S Truman and Soviet premier Joseph Stalin never really trusted one another, even though they were working together during the war to defeat the Nazis. After the war, The Stalin wanted a communist Russia and wanted a communist Europe, but the United State wanted a non-communist state. Many events happened during the Cold War that threatened the U.S. and Soviet relationship. After the war Germany was divided into two, East and West Germany. One side was communist and other was socialist. The Vietnam war also threaten the US and Soviet relationship, as Vietnam was divided into a communist and socialist state as well. The space war between the US and Soviet also changed everything, as well as the Cuban Missile crises, which the soviet threaten to bomb Cuba.
